If you plan to decorate your house in a specific classic style, like the Federal Republic, Art Deco, Japanese, PEG, and so on, can be done in two ways. You can buy all the appropriate pieces and place them in areas which are necessary to acquire as part of the story without the model used, or you can do a little research, how the style developed and the significance (if any) of each single piece or pattern.
For myself, I findfascinating to study the history of other countries and see how home decor (not to mention the houses themselves!) have over the decades has developed.
So if you are thinking about decorating your home in Tuscan style, consider what it is.
Tuscany is a region of central Italy, influenced by the Mediterranean style that has been inhabited over 2,000 years. Some civilizations occupied the area in pre-history, the Apennines and Villanova before being replacedEtruscans stronger and more civilized.
Yet, the Etruscans had taken over by the Roman Empire in the first century AD first. The glory that was Rome lasted 400 years, finally falling in the fourth century. Italy then fell into the Dark Ages (not necessarily a time of unrelenting chaos, but because little written history survived at that time.) Then came the Middle Ages, from about 1000 AD, and finally, the Renaissance of the 14th to 17Centuries.
Many scientists believe that the Renaissance began in Florence in the 14th Century ... and binding on the teaching of history, because Florence was then and is today the capital of Tuscany (Toscano or how it is in Italian), and its residents are proud of the fact that this distinction can boast.
Tuscany, divided into ten provinces, for the most part very hilly, sometimes mountainous, with only a couple of planes that form the valley of the river Arno.
Tuscany isknown for its wines - such as Chianti, Morellino di Scansano and Brunello di Montalcino. Chianti has done in the area since 1700. They also produce olive oil, the steak "Fiorentina", which comes from Chianina.
Tuscany is also home to the famous "City of Art" is (Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano). Pisa is one and all as the home of the famous leaning tower and Florence, the Uffizi and the Duomo, the cathedral dome of Santa Maria delFiore, Palazzo Pitti, the Medici and the Neptune Fountain.
Tuscan furniture, therefore, reflects all these parts of Italian life.
